Comments: We lost our twin Angel babies Dustin Patrick Elliott and Lucy Kaye Elliott at 20 weeks on the 28th of August 2019 due to my short cervix.
I carried my bear as I walked out of the joan kirner hospital as new borns cried I held tighter. Until a week after the funeral i slept with my bear every night. I honestly didn’t even think of needing something to cuddle. I don’t know what I would of done so thank you so much!

Comments: Thank you to the family of baby bear Grace. I went through a very traumatic miscarriage in Gosford in 2015 and the midwife presented me with bear Grace. I clung to her in the months that followed and always knew exactly where she was when we moved house, or travelled -she was with me. I felt like I had to protect her. Sometimes it evoked sadness and sometimes it reminded me of the compassion we have for each other. I had my rainbow in late 2016 and Grace was by my side. It took me a while to allow my daughter to have her to play with as I still wanted to hold on to my Grace but now she is part of the hubbub of the home, not held away and protected but cuddled and loved as if the baby she represented would have been if she was here. Thank you to the family who donated her to me. I have tried to pay it forward in donating my own bear and hubby raising funds for beards of hope.
This is an amazing organisation with amazing families who are going through heartbreaking circumstances but remember you make it more bear-able for others in the same boat, with your generosity and quiet compassion <3

Comments: Our family lost our beautiful daughter- Esther Imogen Stow at 20 weeks on March 2nd 2018.
The hardest and worst thing we’ve ever had to go through was saying goodbye to her.
We now have 3 children. 2 sunshines and 1 rainbow.
Losing Esther was very hard for put sunshines but thankfully having their own special bear of hope has helped them so much. We call it “Esther’s bear” and they get to hug and kiss the bear when ever they are feeling sad or when they are missing their baby sister. Sometimes they even take turns snuggling with her at bed time.
When Esther’s bear is not getting cuddles, she is in our Esther’s cupboard along with her ashes and other special items. The cupboard is beside our tv so it’s there for everyone to see.
Thank you so much to the family of Ben and Jasmine for giving us this heartfelt gift that means more to our family than I can really say.
My sunshines will continue to cuddle their precious bear as will our rainbow as she grows up and hears stories about her big sister.

Comments: I found out last week that I was having a missed miscarriage. I was 12 weeks pregnant and our baby was very tiny, only measured at 8 weeks and had no heartbeat. This was my first pregnancy and first baby and I had struggled to conceive before I fell pregnant so our baby was a miracle to us. I decided to do expectant management and today 5 days after finding out our baby had no heartbeat our tiny little angel was born. I’m completely heart broken, I’m a roller coaster of emotions. But today after spending all day in emergency I received the most beautiful gift. I received a bears of hope bag. After the worst day of my life I found so much comfort in being able to cuddle my bear and go through all of the beautiful gifts. I just wanted to thank bears of hope and especially wanted to thank little Benjamin’s mother Catherine Travers for my beautiful bear, I will forever cherish it in honour of both of our angel babies. My 2.5yo son was so excited for the pending arrival of his baby sister. Unfortunately he will never got the chance.
On the day of Adelyns birth the midwives told me about this organisation, and I got to pick a sibling bear to take home to my son, as a present from his baby sister. They also gave me a smaller version of the bear that stayed with Adelyn and was cremated with her.
My son adores his bear, he sleeps with it every night and offer refers to it as amy bear from baby sister This gives me so much comfort. Knowing they have something that will connect them forever is so special. From the bottom of my heart Thank you bears of hope.

Comments: Our baby girl Abigail Georgia Hawson was born at 25 weeks on 1/05/2019, after an ultrasound confirmed she had passed away. Abigail had a double knot of her umbilical cord, something that wasn’t detected in the days leading up to her death despite our concern for her decreased movement. We were able to spend a night in hospital with our precious baby girl where we received our special bear to take home in place of our beautiful little girl. We miss her every day and hope that the bear we donated in her honor gives some comfort to another family experiencing a tragic loss.

He was diagnosed with Anencephaly.
We couldn’t have gone through that day without our midwife Carol. She was amazing and very supportive throughout the day and then handed me my bear of hope.
I cuddled the little bear all night, and it did find me some comfort to get through that first night without our baby. He now sits on my bedside table and on the bad nights sleeps next to me.
