Benefits of Cuddle Cot

Families spend as much uninterrupted time as they need with their baby, which is vital to avoid further distress. Repeatedly being separated from their baby and returning them to a traditional cooling environment is unnecessary, distressful and an outdated process.

It allows the family to spend every moment with their baby as a family unit, precious moments where every minute counts. It allows siblings, extended family members and friends to visit and meet their baby. These are the sacred memories the families will hold onto to help them process their grief for the rest of their lives.

The Cuddle Cot cooling system helps slow down changes of their baby, extending the time for parents to be able to bond with their child, take photos and say goodbye.

The extra time spent with their baby slows down the necessity to make decisions in a hurry.

“Thanks to the Cuddle Cot donated by Bears Of Hope, we could spend treasured days in the hospital with our boy, sleeping next to him and proudly introducing him to his grandparents, his uncle and aunty, just like any new parent would. It gave us back a sense of control, meaning we were the ones who decided when he would go to the funeral home – a small but incredibly powerful thing, when all our dreams had been shattered in just a moment.” Rafael’s mum & dad
