Thank you to the person who donated this bear and i hope to follow and also contribute in the very special cause. It brought a tear to my eye (and my mums) when i got the bear.

Comments: I recently suffered a miscarriage – I am currently awaiting pathology results on to verify that it was classed as a normal miscarriage as there was some indication of it being a molla pregnancy which I had never heard of but can lead to other health problems. Through the ordeal someone had advised me of your website which I have just visited today and is lovely. I have not encountered many people in my circle who have been through this, so the understanding is limited, your website, support and newsletters will be useful.

Comments: I delivered my baby boy at 20wks on 9th of October 2011, he had been passed away for possibly 3wks before that. This was my first pregnancy and there was no genetic or medical reason for what happened all the tests came back fine, which is good for our future pregnancies, but it still doesnt take away the pain of losing our little angel.
It was beautiful to receive the bear of hope donated to us, and we have also donated one to the hospital and hope that it brings a tiny bit of comfort atleast to another mother who has to go through the same 🙂

Comments: To feel our baby move for the first time is the best feeling to be told that a moving baby is a healthy baby. This wasnt the case for our little one 18 week ultrasound revealed our little bub had signifigant abnormalities with brain and heart. We had a huge decision to continue pregnancy with chance the baby wouldnt survive and if it did when born would have severe brain development and only half a heart that worked. Or to terminate the pregnancy – which is what we did. Our beautiful little girl Makayla was born on the 4th July. I know in time it will get better but the pain you feel inside is just so huge.

Comments: On 19th March 2011 my husband Brian and I gave birth to the most beautiful sleeping baby after 36 weeks of pregnancy, following successful IVF treatment. We named her Chance Nicole Graf Howden. Chance has 6 brothers and sisters. Our hearts have been torn apart, and we are trying to cope the best we can without her physical presence. Receiving Chance’s Bear of Hope pack was a very emotional, yet comforting experience. It relieved us of some of the feeling of isolation, and allowed us to leave hospital without completely empty arms. We talk about how the parents of little angel Ryan Jon McDonald must feel, and hope they are a little comforted to know that his Bear of Hope takes pride of place snuggled up next to Chance’s urn to keep her warm. xxx

Comments: I just wish we had known about you when my daughter lost her baby at 9 weeks pregnancy in October 2010. We all felt so alone and had nowhere to turn to. The hospital told my daughter by phone that baby had died in utero. They knew she has bipolar and still did it is such a heartless manner. She asked for counselling and was told that she did not qualify because it was her first misscarriage. It was so cold and heartless the way she was told.
Are there leaflets that can be left at prenatal clinics, so that ones like my daughter have somewhere to turn to.

We lost our beautiful baby boy or “Tiny T” as we liked to call him on 27th April 2011. For reasons unknown to us my waters broke when I was just 24 weeks pregnant, we managed to hold on to him until he was 25.4 weeks but due to an infection we had to get him out. He survived for only 2 and a half precious hours. We decided to name him “Tom” after his dad. Our lives will never be the same again, we will miss you forever little one. We hope and pray that you are somewhere safe and in time you will send us a little brother or sister for you.
We hope the the bear we have donated in Toms honour will bring at least a small amount of comfort to another family in need.
Love to all the families that have suffered such great sadness.

Comments: Thank you for our Bear. The bear is larger than Flower. Flower was a tiny baby girl who died at 24 weeks without ever seeing the sunshine, but she tried; she had one tiny eye open. We’ve decided to scatter Flower’s ashes at one of our favourite forest creeks so that she may nurture many growing things and become part of a never ending eco-system and be beautiful and enjoy eternal sunshine and bird song. When we visit the forest creek we can be close to her again, listern to the creek and the birds, the wind in the trees, and hear in that the life and joy that Flower became. Bear can come too. Please know that Bears of Hope really helped us. Receiving Bear at the hospital helped start our closure and confirmed the reality of our experience in a soft nurturing way. We treasure our Bear now, and Bear will be a gift for our next child.

Comments: Hi , My name is Narelle.
I have been here before with 2 previous miscarriages(1 in march 2010 & 1 in september 2010) and now i have lost my third.I was 19 weeks and 3 days when i lost my son Kayne Robert Johnson-Boole.This was my worst as i was further in my pregnancy with him.My waters broke at home and i was taken to hospital to find that he had all ready entered the cervix with his hand and cord.I had to make the decision of giving birth to him,so did,he arrived on Friday 8th of April 2011 at 7.51am,he weighed only 250grams.He was so gorgeous. The next hardest thing i had to do was to organise a funeral for him, this was the worst day of my life.So we have finally put him to rest(14th of April 2011).Now i have 3 beautiful little angels up in heaven watching over us.I have 3 Bears of Hope sitting near my bed so when i get up of a morning i look at the 3 of them and think of them and i kiss each Bear. At the funeral i played the CD that i was given to me in hospital,it is the most wonderful song as it says everything. I like to Thank the Bears of Hope support group, been wonderful, the gift bag is great. R.I.P my little boy.
KAYNE ROBERT JOHNSON-BOOLE 8TH OF APRIL 2011. Mummy will always love you. xxxxxxx

Leaving my baby girl was the hardest thing imaginable but carrying my bear of hope and my special keepsake box, comforted me knowing that i wasn’t alone. Thank you to Scarlett May’s parents for donating the bear.

Our twins went to heaven in 2006, bears of hope was not then heard of. But on 26/02/2011 when Our precious Mason John was born and god decided he was ment for heaven my bear of hope is whats helped me through. Thankyou to Brocks parents, Ive thought of you both and hope that Brock and Mason are together.

Comments: I just found your website and have sat reading through pages and pages, tearing up, crying and sobbing. Yet feeling relieved and some comfort in the fact that how I have been feeling is not abnormal or wrong. I had a very early miscarriage on October 27th last year, we had been trying to fall pregnant for quite sometime, we were actually about to commence fertility medicine in my next cycle and were just waiting for my period to finally come when we found out I was pregnant. I was only about 4-5 weeks and had only known I was pregnant for 5 days when we found out we had lost or were losing the baby. I have felt like I shouldn’t be sad still or at all as it was such early days, I have had people say so many of the cliches you have listed on this website, and I have definitely experienced the waves of grief that your website talks about. Thank you so much for helping me to feel okay with what I have been feeling, what I have been trying to hide as much as possible, even from my husband. ( he also read along to some of your pages when he found me crying over the iPad- and it got us talking about it which was good, he wasn’t thinking the way I had assumed he must be). So yes, sorry for the long entry, but thank you. I wish your organisation was more commonly known, for others who are silently grieving and feeling alone.

That is our second miscarriage in as many pregnancies. Last time I did not hear abuot Bears of Hope. This time I’m glad I have. Receiving those two bears as we were sitting in shock made me realise we are not alone and others are going through this too. Thank you for giving us those two precious bears in honour of your loss.
We are doing the same and my work is also going to donate a sum of money.
Thank you bears of hope and everyone that supports and contributes.

The bear we received was tagged in honour of?: Rose
Comments: When we received our bear of hope in honour of Rose at the hospital where we had our son Hayden we felt so alone until we were given the bear. When we received the bear and understood it was from another family who was grieving the loss of their little angel “rose” we suddenly didn’t feel so alone. The poem inside touched out hearts and will be inscribed on the plaque we will have put in the baby garden at the cemetary. It’s only been just over a week since we lost hayden but soon we too will donate a bear of hope in his honour which will hopefully touch another families heart like it did ours. From what I can gather there isn’t a support group in my area for the loss of a baby and in time I am hoping to make one as I feel there is a real need and I’m sure other families in my area are feeling as alone as we are.
