Comments: I write this on the second anniversary of our Angel Connie’s passing. My waters broke at only 19 weeks and our darling Angel came into this world at 24 weeks and lived for 3 hours. I was holding Connie when she decided to go to a better place. I suffered from a miscarriage September 2009 and recently lost another that was “implanted” through IVF. We may have lost the “implantation” as the medicos so coldly label it, but as a couple desperate to have a family, it IS another loss. Thank you to the Bears Of Hope team that provide cuddly bears for us to love and remember our tiny lost Angels. I hug my cherished bear daily for our 3 Angels.

How did you find out about us?: A Cute Little Teddybear was given
The bear we received was tagged in honour of?: Jesse Jay and Jamie Vic
Comments: It was so devastating when we lost our beautiful little Daughter Zoha last month on 5th of Nov. She was stillborn at 27th weeks. It took me a while to write this, i have been browsing this website everyday since i lost my Zoha but didnt get courage to write this, and wasnt able win against my tears 🙁
I was given a cutelittle bear from the Canterbury hospital. I would like to say MANY THANKS to Jesse and Jamie’s families. eventhough I understand that we are not alone who suffer this, it is very very hard to accept especially when you have planned so much for the arrival of your baby, when you were too close to the EDD.
This bear is helping me out so much these days, i keep talking to this bear, It feels better.
My heart goes out to all mums who have suffered this. All I would say that Believe in God! God will send back your babies soon.
I am donating some bears as well. Thanks very much to BEARS OF HOPE!

Comments: My son and his partner lost their precious baby girl on Dec 3rd and was given the beautiful bear – they are devastated as we all are but it was lovely to have Imogene Kates bear to take home and put amongst Izzy Alices mementoes. If possible please tell Imogene Kates family we love the little bear and thank them. We also love the Living amongst angels song and have purchased it. I would also like to donate a bear for some other family but not sure how to do it – I would like it to go back to the Grafton Hospital for another grieving family. Can you help with that please.
Izzy Alice was stillborn at 28weeks
Kind regards
Mary Salter

Comments: I received by bear after my third miscarriage. Thinking i was big and tough and strong enough to handle it after the first 2 – my third took its toll due in part to the long delay in finally falling pregnant the third time. With a lack of understanding that many had around me, i felt no one understood my pain or anguish – except my bear. He became the one i spoke to about the feelings and was the reminder that i actually was not alone – there are many who have suffered loss in its many forms. Support is around but sometimes the issue makes it hard to reach out – but once you do you wonder why it took so long to do it. Best wishes to all on their journey and those that are there to support them.

The bear we received was tagged in honour of?: Joshua Clack
Comments: This is the most hardest thing that glen an i have had to ever go through in our lives but after finding out about bears of hope we now no we arn’t alone, but would still be happy to talk to someone that has gorn through what we are trying to go through.
We were so excited about being new parents, and i loved nearly every minute of being pregnant, i wasnt sick at all, i only started to show at about 25weeks, worked right through, bub was really healthy no problems at all, until the 19th of Aug 2010 at 2.20am. I woke up to pre labour let it go because She was still moving like crazy, the last time i felt her move was at 4.30am, but thought it was normal for the bub to stop moving through labour. went in to the hospital at 12.30 that day to be told “your baby has no heart beat”, you will have to deliver your baby stillborn. 17 hours later at 41weeks and 4days pregnant glen and i gave birth to our beautiful baby girl Tanisha Anne Yaldren,Weighing 7pound 8ounces, 52cm long. she is our Angel and our beautiful shining star and will forever be so deeply missed by everyone.
We would love to thank Joshua’s Mummy. We recieved a girl gift box that she had dropped off at the Canberra Hospital for the next family that had lost there baby the way she did. It had 2 photo frames, 2 bunny rugs, a candle, hat, bib, booties and a bears of hope bear in memory of joshua. It was so that we wernt going home emplty handed.
Glen and i are in the middle of organising our own boxes to take to hospitals around Canberra, because we were so touched when we recieved ours we wanted to do the same for another family going through what we are, and have it in memory of Tanisha.

Where are you from?: Singleton NSW
The bear we received was tagged in honour of?: Jacinta & Madelin
Comments: I am new to Bears Of Hope. I lost a daughter, Camryn, in 2005 from a rare infection of the heart muscle called Bacterial Myocharditis. Camryn was my second child. She was 10 days old. In December 2007 I miscarried twin boys in my 2nd trimester. In November 2008 I lost a son, Spencer, who was born with a heart abnomality called Ebstiens Anomoly, a condition where one side of his heart didn’t develop properly. He was born at Westmead, had heart surgery the next day and seemed to pulll through quite well. Two weeks later we were transferred to John Hunter so we could be closer to our other two children at home. Three days later Spencer passed away. He developed a secondary heart condition called SVT and the combination of that and his already weakened heart was too much for him. He was 17 days old.
Here in Singleton in the Hunter Valley, there has been little to no support for parents who have miscarried and/or lost a precious baby, until now. Back when my daughter Camryn passed away, I had no-one. No support from family, no services available, no where to turn to for help.
Late last year I met Toni through the Bears Of Hope Cause page on facebook. Toni, in turn, read my blog www.kategore101.com which I created as a chronicle of my life as I know it after losing two children, miscarrying twins, divorce, remarriage, and continuing to have a family. I am also currently studying for my Diploma in Professional Counselling, majoring in relationship and grief counselling. Toni asked me to be part of a Bears of Hope Support Group here in Singleton, and I accepted immediately. We would love to reach other bereaved parents out there in Singleton and Hunter Region and spread the word that a Bears of Hope support group is in their area. If I could help just one other family to not feel isolated and alone as I once did, then we’ve achieved something wonderful. So please, if you or someone you know in the Singleton/Hunter area is looking for support after their loss, come along to the support group meetings, first Tuesday each month at Singleton Community Health Centre. Contact Toni for further details. And a big thanks to Toni for introducing me to Bears of Hope – a wonderful organisation I am proud to be a part of.
