Understanding grief following Early Pregnancy Loss
This Early Pregnancy Loss workshop offers parents a healing space to honour and reflect on their experience, better understand the many layers of grief that can follow early pregnancy loss, and connect with others who truly understand.
Miscarriage is defined as the loss of pregnancy before 20 weeks’ gestation. While this is the medical definition, the emotional impact felt by parents is deeply personal. Whether your loss occurred in the first few weeks of pregnancy or at any stage before 20 weeks, there is no measure for the depth of love or grief a parent may feel.
Together we will cover practical strategies for coping with grief, ways to communicate needs with partners and family and guidance on accessing professional and peer support. Through reflective exercises and group discussion, attendees are invited to honour their journey and connect with others who understand the unique challenges of Early Pregnancy Loss.
