Sophie Tomlinson

I miscarried over the weekend during a covid lockdown in our region. I went to hospital on the Monday to get checked out and left in a daze with a bag in hand. When I got home I was greeted by my husband and 2 little ones. We sat on the couch for lots of cuddles, a cup of tea and a chat about the appointment.
The next day hubby went to work and the kids and I opened our bears of hope bag. I cried and felt less “alone” in this experience. What an unexpected, wonderful gift to receive in such a time of grief. Our baby and bear have the first name we had picked out for him. Our 3 yr old daughter is looking after that bear beautifully.
We have donated a bear of hope for another family and send our love, strength and wish for comfort in their time of grief.
