We were beyond grateful for the support we have received from everyone. We will deeply miss both of our little ‘bugs’.

Our world was turned upside down in a matter of seconds, and the loss of our littlest dude hit us pretty hard. It was incredible to know that a stranger out there could be so caring and generous to lend a hand in our absolute time of need. We can’t thank you enough for your kind donation, the world needs more people like you.

We lost our beautiful twin girls, Honor and Alessandra sometime over 1/6/21 and 2/6/21. Your bear commemorating the loss of your own precious girls and the date of your beautiful Grace’s passing seems a special link that brings us much comfort. Sending our love and thanks. In January 2014, the year my husband and I married, little baby Declan’s family were starting their grief journey with Bears Of Hope.

7 years later, in January 2021, we found ourselves leaving the hospital the same way. With empty arms and instead a Bears Of Hope bag. Inside it, the precious memory of Declan.

Following Declan’s dads lead, we are joining others to fundraise through Beards Of Hope this Winter, honouring our daughter, Willow Charlize, who was lost to Ventriculomegaly.

If you wish to donate to this incredible cause and fundraiser, you can follow our journey here: https://beardsofhope2021.gofundraise.com.au/page/BenM-81276755

I miscarried my very much wanted baby on the 4th May 2021 after 12 months of TTC. Unfortunately I had an awful time at the hospital and did not receive any grief support from them. The relationship with the baby’s father ended 3 days after I started to miscarry also. When I finally received my bear it was the same day that doctors rang me to tell me that the HCG has finally cleared from my blood. Such a bittersweet feeling. I am so thankful for my bear to cuddle now, and wonder if Walt and Baby K are friends somewhere over the rainbow. <3

Receiving something positive from my experience in hospital was very uplifting and reassuring that I am not alone. I’m so greatful for the teddy bear, gifts and pamphlets which was a beautiful touch. Feeling blessed to be in someone’s thoughts. Sending good vibes and my thoughts to other mums, partners and families that have been through pregnancy loss.
