Open Garden- Krackatinni
You are invited to visit one of Australia's Open Gardens - Krackatinni
Date: 15th & 16th May 2010
Time: 10am to 7pm
Address: 3 Azalea Court, Glenmore Park NSW (near Penrith)
Entry: $6 - Your donation will be supporting Bears Of Hope
Come and join us for the full Krackatinni experience: enjoy morning or afternoon tea under the white mulberry tree with the lorikeets; have a glass of organic wine with lunch under a canopy of autumn grape leaves; taste Rosnay organic wines and olives; and be amazed at what you can fit into approximately 630sqm as you chat with us about any aspect of gardening.
We are opening later so that the garden can be experienced at dusk when the solar lighting comes on and then the candles will be lit creating a magical atmosphere.
Krackatinni is a small suburban garden with a focus on organic, sustainable, creative and high-density gardening. The front garden is a mixture of vegetables, fruits and ornamentals. The backyard creates a private and peaceful oasis in the middle of suburbia.
Throughout the garden you'll find many rustic recycled objects, like the antique pump, which we combined with industrial C channels to create a unique pond. Other people's trash have become our garden treasures, we love thinking laterally and giving old things new life. You will also meet our chooks, two Isa Browns and two Barnevelders who love to have visitors and so do we!
We will be running a raffle with items donated by Stonehill Stonemasons, Glenmore Nursery and Rosnay Organic Wines.
Thankyou,
Anne-Louise Dampney & Karel Vine
