A Father's Road Trip
During early January 2010, Richard Hannan and myself headed out to the vast Central West of NSW to introduce and support hospitals with resource tubs containing Bears of Hope, Tags, Brochures and Information Packs.
We completed a massive trip starting in the Blue Mountains and travelling from Bathurst to Bourke! We met many amazing people all involved with families who have lost their 'Angels' just as I have. The hospitals were overwhelmed by the program and loved the fact that they were included in our road trip, which saw us visit 14 hospitals in all.
The highlight of the tour was the meeting at Tottenham, where we were very welcomed. The nurses were so excited to meet us and had heard that we were completing the trip from the community nurse at Tullamore.....and did not want to be left out of the program!
It was an amazing experience, one Richard and I are looking forward to doing again across NSW to new regions.
