Donating a Bear Of Hope

"A lifetime of support"

Bears Of Hope aim to make contact with parents in the very early days of their loss to offer support and guidance right from the beginning. Donating a bear of hope to parents, before they leave the hospital and even directly if a parent did not receive one this way, has proven to be an effective, comforting gesture where the parents have expressed their gratitude for the timely acknowledgement and support of their loss.

Each Bear Of Hope is donated to parents in memory of another parent's baby. The name of this baby is written on the inside of the attached card. It allows parents and the wider community to do something tangible in honour of a baby who lived ever so briefly. and to help another family all at the same time. Not only are these bears of hope comforting families and letting them know they are not alone, but they are provide instant connections and put parents in touch with our website, which acts as a portal for important support information and services, alleviating much time and stress.

If you did not receive a bear of hope after the loss of your baby and would like to receive one, please contact us with the details of your experience.

Over the coming months we will be fading out traditional teddy bears to only be using our exclusive Sophie Bear to donate to our families.

Special Dates

You might like to consider purchasing and donating a Bear Of Hope each year on a precious baby's Birthday, Anniversary, for Christmas, Easter, Mother's or Father's Day, during October - International Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Month. You are more than welcome to purchase a Bear Of Hope and personally donate it to a hospital we are affiliated with. Or we can donate it on your behalf.

In Lieu Of Flowers

Parents have also arranged for family and friends to purchase a Bear Of Hope in lieu of flowers. These bears are then donated in honour of this precious baby to our hospitals to help other families. Perhaps you might like to hold a Bears Of Hope Drive. This is done all online and is a very easy way to receive donations towards bears of hope.

If your hospital of choice does not currently have Bears Of Hope affiliated with them, please contact us so we can make this arrangement.
